My Approach

Specialising in Stress, Anxiety, Complex PTSD, and trauma, I match the right approach for your unique recovery journey.

I have 17 years experience, using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy with Hypnotherapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing, Somatic Release Techniques, Psychodynamic and Ego State Hypnotherapy and Trauma Informed Reiki.

I am registered with the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis, CNHC - Complementary Natural Healthcare Council, and the Reiki Federation.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy with Hypnotherapy

CBT with Hypnotherapy is shown in meta studies to be 70% more effective that CBT alone. CBT looks at our patterns and habits of thinking and how these affect our psychological well-being.

Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing

EMDR is an efficient and effective way of processing and releasing the stuck emotion of past trauma or difficult times in our lives. It is recommended NHS NICE and World Health Organisation to treat PTSD.

Somatic Release Techniques

Somatic work looks at the mind body connection and how trauma and deep emotions get stuck in the body, affecting our health and ability to change thinking and behaviour patterns.

Psychodynamic & Ego State Hypnotherapy

Psychodynamic and Ego state therapy helps understanding of how current feelings and behaviour are shaped by past experiences. These unconscious patterns and impulses can then be worked through and changed with hypnotherapy.

Trauma Informed Reiki

Reiki is an energy healing technique that uses life force energy to activate the parasympathetic nervous system (the opposite of the fight or flight system). When treating anxiety, stress and trauma, it is essential to first bring down the body’s fight or flight response.

Therapy Sessions

Group Workshops and Courses

Healing Me Therapy offer courses and workshops for individuals and organisations. Unwind Your Mind Courses are open to individuals and in a corporate setting, Somatic release Workshops are for individuals. Corporate work includes Trauma Awareness for Managers and Trainers, Mindfulness for Schools and Managers and Stress Management Workshops.

Unwind Your Mind Courses

Unwind Your Mind Courses teach techniques and strategies to manage stress and anxiety while helping you to build a fulfilling life. These courses can also be delivered to students.

Somatic Release Workshops

Somatic Release Workshops help you to identify where emotion, stress and unwanted old patterns of thinking and behaving lie in the body. You are then guided through a process to invite release and bring in calm and balance.

Corporate Work

Training courses can be developed according to your company’s individual focus and need.

Some examples of courses include: Trauma Awareness for Managers, Trauma Awareness for Trainers/Coaches, Effective Mindfulness for Managers, Mindfulness in Schools and Stress Awareness Courses
